Fresno CA, July 2021 – Dr. J. Born, raised and schooled in the Fresno area, Dr. J. Art Mirelez earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with Honors from Fresno State University. He received his DDS degree from the University of CA, San Francisco in 2002, followed by a General Practice Residency Program at Fresno’s University Medical Center, where he treated medically-compromised patients under general anesthesia. Dr. Mirelez went on to work for Healthy Smiles Mobile Dental Foundation, a local non-profit children’s dental organization.
He later attended the prominent Misch International Implant Institute Program, and acquired his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, one of the highest international designations for skill in the surgery and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Mirelez earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 2011 – prestigious recognition earned by only 5% of all dentists in the U.S.
Dr. Mirelez is also a graduate of the famed Kois Center in Seattle WA, an educational institute for elite dentists who choose Advanced Dentistry Through Science. He is one of only 300 graduates worldwide, one of only 82 honored with Clinical Instructor distinction, and is also a Kois Mentor. He continues to travel internationally in search of safe and advanced implant techniques, notably the renowned Ickert Dental Implant Centre of Canada; co-founded InstaRisa Technologies, an innovative implant technology company; and is a leader in sedation dentistry.
Fueled by his desire to be the best clinician possible through training and education for the benefit of his patients, today J. Art Mirelez, Jr., DDS, FICOI, FAGD has over 2,000 hours of continuing dental education completed, and maintains one of the most successful private dental practices in Fresno. He founded Mirelez Wellness Dental guided by the core values of faith, respect, honesty, excellence and balance. Having grown to a team nearly 15 strong, including Dr. Christopher R.
