Portland OR, December 2020 – Dr. Matthew Kathan and the Team at Timber Dental are eAssist’s most recent recipients of the Top Practice Award. This honor is awarded each month to two exceptional eAssist clients who embody the values of integrity, expertise and grace, while providing exemplary patient care, running efficient operations, and giving back to their communities. Presented to the practice as a whole, the award recognizes the need for a cohesive unit to run a practice to the highest standards.
Dr. Matthew Kathan met Dr. Molly Marshall – a 4th generation dentist – while they were in dental school together in Omaha Nebraska. Now married with two children, they co-own Timber Dental. Originally founded in Northeast Portland in 2014, the practice has grown to include eight more doctors and a sizable staff in four neighboring locations.
As Dr. Kathan explained, “We aim to deliver dentistry in a minimally-invasive, comfortable, environmentally-conscious manner. From co-diagnosing needs alongside the patient, to limiting disposable waste in our practice, we’re careful about the impact we make on someone’s smile and on our community.” To help them do that, Timber Dental uses state-of-the-art technologies – everything from being a paperless environment with digital patient forms and charting, to digital x-rays, 3D cone beam imaging, iTero digital scanning, and other new technologies.
