Dr. Shannon Barnhart Receives the eAssist Top Practice Award along with Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Center

Dr. Shannon Barnhart of Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Center (https://fresnooralsurgery.com/) has received eAssist’s monthly Top Doctor Award (https://dentalbilling.com/category/eassist-top-doctor/). The award is given each month to eAssist clients who embody the values of community involvement, exemplary dental services, and quality patient care. Along with the doctor, this award is given to the entire office, signifying the group effort it takes to run an exemplary practice.

Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Center is honored this month with the Top Doctor award. Dr. Shannon Barnhart in particular is recognized for her wonderful work done both in and out of the dental office. The practice has several locations scattered over California such as Clovis, Reedley, and Madera. Dr. Shannon Barnhart is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Not wanting to slow down at all after her training Dr. Barnhart served in the U.S. Air Force, treating patients at a military and veterans hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was after serving in the Air Force, she joined with Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Center. In addition to her work at the Fresno office Dr. Barnhart frequently responds to trauma callas at local hospitals. 

Participating in dental charity events around the Fresno area, Dr. Barnhart is truly active in her community. She has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. She was also selected for a military scholarship program to complete her Dental and Oral Surgery Training. She also earned her DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. 

Dr. Barnhart’s Oral and Maxillofacial Residency was served in Wilford Hall U.S. Air Force Medical Center. While in the Air Force she served as an Advanced Trained General Dentist, Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, and as the 99th Dental Squadron Clinical Flight Commander at the Nellis Airforce Base in Nevada. 

Dr. Barnhart has a sincere desire to help her patients. On the office website Dr. Barnhart assures people of her feelings toward helping patients by stating, “I want patients to feel good from beginning to end. I want them to know that they’re heard in the process, not only from my staff hearing them, but also from me hearing what they have to say what their concerns are, what their goals or outcomes of surgery would be, and then achieving those for them.”
