You’re ready to outsource your dental billing processes, but you may have a few questions first. We’ve compiled some of the questions that dental practices, like yours, ask about the eAssist Dental Billing platform. Of course, if these questions don’t provide all of the answers you’re looking for, please feel free to contact us at any time and we’ll be more than happy to discuss the service options in depth with you.

Do I have to change any system or software to use the eAssist Dental Billing Platform?

Great news, our platform specialists are compatible with all dental administration systems, ie Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve, Tops, OrthoTrac, etc.  eAssist doesn’t require any extra software on top of the one(s) you already use for dental billing management, making it easier than ever to integrate right into what you are already familiar with. We do strongly recommend having up-to-date workstations in order to keep your software running smoothly.

What are the basic requirements for the eAssist Dental Billing Platform?

eAssist requires 24-hour internet service in order to keep up to date with your management software and make adjustments as needed. This must be “hardlined”, or plugged in with an ethernet cable to the PC dedicated to our platform. As well as this, you’ll need Google’s Chrome browser and general anti-virus software. The workstation that you dedicate for our platform should be allowed to operate 24 hours a day in order to ensure accuracy, so keep that in mind when setting up the workable space in your dental practice. There are many benefits to this ease of the eAssist Dental Solutions platform, the main one being that it won’t waste your time, and your team of eAssist platform specialists can get down to business: your business.

Does the eAssist Platform replace one or more of my staff members?

The eAssist Dental Billing Platform Specialists are added team members dedicated to collecting 100% of what you are rightfully owed. With dedicated dental billing specialists on your team, your in-house staff can be focusing on increasing production and giving patients more personalized attention, thereby greatly increasing your patient’s acceptance of treatment plans you initiate. If you have a current vacancy in your office, partnering with the eAssist Dental Billing Platform could eliminate the need to fill that position.

How expensive is the eAssist Dental Billing Platform?

According to ZipRecruiter, the average pay for a dental biller in the United States is $43,278 per year, which comes out to $3,606.50 per month before taxes. Adding payroll taxes, bonuses, paid time off would be 20% higher and would place the dental biller’s salary just below $52,000 per year. And that’s just for ONE dental biller.

Let’s look at an example of this in contrast to outsourcing with the eAssist platform:

If an office’s total collections are $1.3 million per year, and 50% of those collections are from dental insurance (approximately $650,000 annually, or $54,166 per month)

Choosing to move your dental billing processes in-house also means that the pay is based on efforts. Your in-house dental biller can work 2-3 hours appealing a $100 claim, which means you have already lost money. And what if that claim doesn’t even get paid? Your eAssist invoice for services is based on results. You pay for what your eAssist team has successfully collected for you, not an hourly rate.

Does the eAssist Platform have any long-term contracts?

All eAssist platform service options operate on a month-to-month agreement between you and the contractors who use the eAssist Dental Billing platform.
