Providence Dental Partners Builds a Scalable Revenue Cycle While Keeping the Focus on Patients

For a growing dental group, adding locations is only part of the equation. The operational infrastructure must keep pace. For Georgia-based Providence Dental Partners, now spanning 10 locations and 150 employees, that meant creating a more consistent approach to a complex revenue cycle while keeping its practice teams focused on what matters most: patients.
Partnering with eAssist helped Providence strengthen those behind-the-scenes operations as it expanded. From January 2024 through June 2026, total collections grew 35.02%, while outsourcing key billing functions freed in-office staff from time-consuming administrative responsibilities.
That operational support ultimately serves Providence Dental Partners’ larger vision for its practices. “Our mission is to deliver a patient experience that goes beyond traditional standards,” said Phil Cassis, Co-Founder and CEO of Providence Dental Partners. “Everything from the clinical dentistry we deliver to the patient experience that we create.”
Finding the Right Partner for Growth
As Providence Dental Partners expanded, managing the financial side of a multi-location dental organization presented its own set of challenges. Insurance billing, patient billing and claims management all require time, attention and reliable follow-through—resources that can become increasingly stretched as an organization expands.
“Revenue cycle in our system is very tedious. It’s very complex,” Cassis said.
Providence Dental Partners has worked with eAssist since the dental group’s inception, a relationship that Jason Mann, DMD, Co-Founder and Chief Dental Officer, said was reinforced by eAssist’s experience and industry connections. “eAssist felt like the right partner for our organization because of the connection and collaboration with Henry Schein,” he said. “That partnership there only allowed us to continue to grow within the organization.”
The relationship has become increasingly important as Providence Dental Partners’ operational needs have evolved. Rather than building an ever-larger internal administrative infrastructure to handle insurance and patient billing, the organization has been able to rely on eAssist for key revenue cycle functions.
eAssist manages areas including insurance billing, patient billing and bookkeeping, helping establish a more systematic approach across the growing organization. However, the value of outsourcing goes well beyond simply moving administrative work somewhere else. It is about deciding where the time and attention of its in-office team members can make the greatest difference.
“Outsourcing insurance claims and patient billing to eAssist has allowed more free time to focus on patient care,” said Cassie Brown, Office Manager, Providence Dental Spa of Newnan.
That distinction directly supports the organization’s patient-centered mission. When team members are not spending as much time following up on claims or managing billing responsibilities, they can spend more time interacting with the people in front of them.
“We’re actually collecting more of the general dentistry that we’re delivering today, just because we’re creating opportunities for those team members to be more patient-facing,” Mann said.
At the same time, eAssist has helped Providence establish a more structured approach to revenue cycle management across its network of practices. “Now that we’ve partnered with eAssist, we’ve had a level of consistency that allows us to grow and scale,” Cassis said.

Turning Consistency into Results
The more streamlined revenue cycle process has helped Providence Dental Partners improve the path from billing to payment. “They created a systematic approach to know what we need to deliver to them, to create an opportunity to decrease the amount of time that we are not receiving funds from the dental payer,” Mann explained.
Those efforts have been accompanied by measurable financial gains. From January 2024 through June 2026, Providence Dental Partners reported:
- 35.02% total collection growth
- 17.19% patient collection growth
- 52.78% collection growth

Jamie Burks, Senior Director of Training and Integrations, has seen the improvement reflected in another important measure of revenue cycle performance. “We have found that our collection ratios have gone up,” she said.
Stronger collections are not simply a financial endpoint. Additional revenue gives the organization more resources to invest in its practices and support its larger clinical mission. “We’ve consistently generated higher revenues and profits that we can then reinvest back into the practices to ultimately deliver on a higher level of clinical care,” Cassis said.
That creates a cycle in which improvements behind the scenes can support the patient experience at the front of the practice: administrative responsibilities are handled more efficiently; team members gain more time for patients and stronger financial performance provides additional resources for clinical care.
An Extension of the Providence Team
Outsourcing an important business function can sometimes raise concerns about communication or a disconnect between an outside company and the people working inside the practice. Providence Dental Partners has experienced the opposite.
Burks points to communication as one of the greatest strengths of the relationship. “I found a lot of value in bringing their team on,” she said. “Very consistent across the board as far as communication, and quite honestly, they just feel like part of our team.”
That integration has helped the partnership become part of Providence Dental Partners’ day-to-day operations rather than simply an outside billing service. It also means in-office team members can focus on their responsibilities knowing that critical revenue cycle work is still moving forward.
“We’re not worrying about the things that eAssist are now taking care of for us,” Brown said.
For Brown, the support has become difficult to imagine operating without. “Knowing what they are able to help our office with, I would not want to go back to working without eAssist.”

Peace of Mind While Scaling
As Providence Dental Partners continues to evolve, its leaders regularly evaluate the marketplace for resources that can support the organization’s changing needs. But when it comes to revenue cycle management, they continue to return to eAssist. The reason, Mann said, ultimately comes down to confidence.
“As we started on our journey and continue to grow and scale, we always look to the market to see what other resources are out there, and we confidently come back to eAssist, knowing that they deliver on peace of mind for us, knowing that all of our revenue cycle functions are operating the way that they should be.”
That peace of mind gives Providence Dental Partners greater confidence in the operational side of the business as it looks ahead. With eAssist managing critical revenue cycle functions, its teams can devote their attention to the priorities that drive the organization forward.
The partnership’s impact ultimately extends beyond stronger financial performance. By taking administrative demands off practice teams and supporting a more reliable revenue cycle, eAssist has helped Providence create an operational foundation for its next stage of development.
For Providence Dental Partners, effective revenue cycle management has become more than a back-office function. It is a resource that allows the organization to pursue continued growth with confidence while keeping its attention where it belongs: on its practices and patients.
