Being mindful of yourself can help you appreciate just who you are since most of our focus is on others we often miss the most important person in the room–you.

Being in the moment is about paying attention to what is happening around you and not being in a robotic “auto pilot” rut.   Mindfulness involves being nonjudgmental to all that happens around you. This takes some soul searching as most of us tend to be judgemental to what we see and hear.   While meditation and getting yourself into the “flow” of positive energy takes practice; taking time for a little self assessment can help put you on course.

Answer the following questions to yourself–no need to share with anyone else. Focus on the objective truth without false modesty.  No one can see this but you so don’t hold back.

You have nothing to fear from being totally honest about the best things you do and the best traits you have.

The questions are:

  1. What is the best thing about you?
  2. What do you like most about yourself?
  3. What are you like when you are at your best?
  4. What, or who, brings out the best in you?
  5. What is your most significant achievement?
  6. How have your strengths helped you in the past?
  7. How can your strengths help you in the future?
