I sent a claim to a smaller insurance company, called back to check if it was received, and was told no. I called once or twice more in the coming weeks to check, and still no. Finally, I got someone on the phone who actually walked to the fax room and came back to tell me she found it. She said it had been put in a “unknown” faxes basket because the pages were out of order. So, they had received my fax 30 days prior, and hadn’t looked at it yet. “Because the pages were out of order.” How do they say that with a straight face.
